The
Northern Lights team liaises with other christian singles groups in
the North of England to dovetail with their planned events. Indeed,
many
members of these other local groups network with individuals who
attend our events. Christian singles groups that we are aware
of, their known
activities for 2009, and their catchment areas (illustrated by the map
below) are included on this page for your reference. Scroll down to

website.  INTERLINK
This
is a South Yorkshire based Christian Singles Group that organises
events in the Doncaster, Sheffield and Chesterfield area. It has
regular monthly
events such as Bowling, Visiting Chatsworth & Meadowhall, BBQs etc.
It is a friendly group that seeks to build a network of friendships
between single christians in their 30s and 40s from a wide range of
churches in the region.

It organises monthly rambles throughout the county that are arranged at short notice by members of the group. It attracts both families and singles to its walks which vary in length and degree of difficulty. All walkers must check with the leader before attending, just to make sure the walk is still going ahead. You need to be properly dressed for the walk and do carry a packed lunch and enough fluids for the day. Trainers and jeans in winter are not acceptable - please wear proper boots and winter clothes. The Harvesters This is a West Midlands based interdenominational Christian Singles network that was set up a number of years ago to minister to Christian singles who are divorced, never married or widowed in the region. TwentiesThirtiesForties.com  This is a Middlesex based interdenominational Christian Group set up in 1993. It is not a SIngles Group per se but it does organise events that are appealing to Christians from a range of churches in the South East. It is primarily focused on outreach and the events it puts on give opportunities for Christians to invite their not-yet church attending friends. However, it does have a vibrant singles ministry and it has affiliates all over the south of England and increasingly further north. It puts on events in Liverpool for instance. They aim to put on events that appeal to a wide audience at a reasonable cost. They have done Go Karting, Pool Parties, Barn Dances, Ceroc, Car Rallies and Theatre Trips among other activities. Friends First is a commercial Christian Singles Dating Agency based in the Birmingham area. It was set up about 2000. It offers christian singles all sorts of Singles services and some teaching events and has some very good dating and relationship resources as well as book review pages. To see what is currently being offered, check out their Website  The Network is a commercial Christian Singles Social Event and Dating Agency based in the Shropshire area. It offers christian singles events that take place across the South, South East, Midlands and South West of the country and increasingly further north. Network Christians events and holidays are well organised with the single person in mind. They use quality venues and this is reflected in the overall price. To see full details of Network Christians' Events list of what is currently being offered across the country, check out their Events Page  Christian Connections is perhaps the biggest dedicated commercial Christian Singles Dating Agency covering the UK and Ireland. It advertises various christian singles events taking place across the country and has its own events which tend to centre around the South East although increasingly further north these days. It is well worth visiting every so often to see what is happening on their Events Page  With a wide range of economically priced Singles Holidays in the summer and the winter all over the world Oak Hall holidays are very popular. Accommodation can be basic but many people report good value for money. They do teaching course in the Kent headquarters and they also have opportunities for temporary overseas mission trips. Well worth checking out.  This Surrey based organisation (along with Crimson Holidays below) is the successor of the now defunct yet excellent Mastersun Holidays. They are planning to have 30 Something Holidays every year around the resort of Samos in Crete. They also have some excellent creative weeks throughout the year including ones for: Again, well worth checking out. This Surrey based organisation (along with Richmond Christian Holidays above) is the successor of the now defunct yet excellent Mastersun Holidays. Living Sun is aiming at the Winter Sun, Cruises and Biblelands Tour market it appears currently. Living Sun Holidays has been founded by Bob Fleming, the original founder of MasterSun, to provide excellent quality Christian holidays at affordable prices. This Cheltenham-based week-long festival every August is an interesting way of spending part of your summer engaged in a cornucopia of activities that cross a very broad spectrum of christian and theological belief. Greenbelt sees itself as an independent Christian charity working to express love, creativity and justice in the arts and contemporary culture in the light of the Christian gospel. This Lincoln Showground based celebration of Christian worship of a charismatic hue happens each year for about a week. Next year it is from August 28th to the 1st September 2009. Spring Harvest Holidays House Party This Levent at Le Pas Opton campsite in the Vendee Region of western France is hosted every September in the first or second week of the month. As many as 200 singles and marrieds without children attend. |
